Last weekend, we hopped in the car and headed to the little town of Dripping Springs for Morgan and Dane’s gorgeous, Texas Hill Country wedding. As we mentioned in their engagement session blog post, we’ve been eagerly counting down the days until the day they’d become Mr. and Mrs. Peddycoart. Dane’s uncle Gary officiated their wedding, and perfectly told the story of how they met. Morgan and Dane both attended Texas A&M University (Whoop!), and even had a class together, but it wasn’t until they both worked at Messina Hoff Winery that they would notice each other. Uncle Gary joked that this must have meant one thing: Dane must have not been attending class! Dane’s time to shine came when Morgan had a flat tire and called him for help. He changed her tire like a champion, but only to realize that the spare tire was also flat… but it didn’t matter! A beautiful love story began that night!
From the moment we pulled up to the venue, we were overwhelmed by all of the stunning details that were a part of Morgan and Dane’s special day. It was easy to see that this wedding was planned with great intentionality, but also with deep sentiment, like “My Lover Boy” engraved inside of Dane’s wedding band and the wedding ring that Morgan wore that belonged to her grandmother who unfortunately couldn’t made the trip. And then there was all of the beautiful signage that Dane’s stepmom made, like the verses of 1 Corinthians 13 that lined the aisle. We also loved the personalized ties that Morgan gave to her dad, her stepdad, and to Dane’s dad.
Morgan and Dane decided against doing a First Look with each other, but Morgan did want to do a First Look with her Bridesmaids and her dad. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room! We also love that Morgan and Dane wanted to pray together before they became husband and wife, which created some of our favorites shots from the day. Vista West Ranch is a stunning venue, so we had plenty of gorgeous backdrops to choose from for portraits. The weather forecast predicted rain, but we couldn’t have asked for more perfect weather. We were big fans of the blue suits with the gold and blush dresses, and loved how they incorporated those colors into the decor.
All in all, it was a perfect day! We absolutely adore this precious couple, and the friends and family that came to support them. It was a celebration full of love and joy, and it was such an honor to be there and capture it!
Mr. and Mrs. Peddycoart,
We cannot thank you enough for giving us the privilege of being not only a part of your most special day, but also a part of your life! The love you have for one another and for others is inspiring to all who witness it, and we believe that is the common theme that’s in every one of these images! It is our prayer that these would bless you for years and years to come!
XO, Mal & Bry
