One of the unexpected joys of being a photographer is how it reconnects us with friends, and that was the case with this gorgeous wedding! From our neighborhood swim team to our high school dance team, Maggie and I have history together, so when she reached out to us to about her wedding, I was thrilled!
Something that is really important to us, both personally and professionally, is hosting people in our home. As some of you know from reading our love story, Bryan and I met when I bought his table and chairs from him. Initially, it seemed like a coincidence, but it didn’t take long into our marriage to realize that our table was actually a symbol of a shared passion we have. Now, it is so special to us to have our brides and grooms gather around the table that brought us together. They get to be a part of our love story as we get to be a part of theirs.
When we had Maggie and Jacob over, we bonded quickly as they started sharing their love story. Similar to Bryan and I, Maggie and Jacob shared a love that reached overseas. Introduced by a mutual friend, they became “pen pals” while Jacob was serving our country in Afghanistan and Maggie was living in Texas. (One of our favorite memories from their wedding was when they invited all of the service men and women to stand and be honored during their ceremony. It was stunning!) The more we got to know them as a couple that night, the more excited we were about being a part of their special day. They walked into our apartment clients and left as friends!
When we got to The Carriage House on their wedding day, we were immediately blown away by all of the beautiful details. From the gorgeous succulents nestled into each bouquet, to the fun Koozies that said “This beard is taken,” their wedding was a photographer’s dream to capture! We were so thankful that the rain held off during their beautiful, outdoor ceremony, but it didn’t stop the waterworks from coming as Jacob watched his bride walk down the aisle towards him. Maggie and Jacob had the most amazing group of family and friends surround them on their special day. It was a day filled with love and celebration!
Maggie and Jacob,
We are so encouraged by the love that you have for one another, and we are so thankful that you gave us the honor of capturing it in photos. We love you guys!
